“5.0” — The New Album by Luca Francioso

Life is in constant update: every day can be seen as a new release, a new beta version of ourselves.

This idea is the driving force behind “5.0”, the new album by composer and fingerstyle guitarist Luca Francioso, released to mark his fiftieth birthday. An important milestone celebrated through an intimate and deeply authentic collection of music that reflects both his artistic and personal journey.

The album brings together fifteen compositions that have shaped Luca Francioso’s musical path, revisited here in essential and minimalist versions that reveal their most intimate soul. Stripped-down arrangements and warm acoustic textures place the focus on the composition itself and on the expressive voice of the guitar in its purest form.

“5.0” is, in many ways, a return to the origins — a conscious rediscovery of the artistic road traveled over the years. The sound of the album is intentionally honest and unembellished, reflecting the artist’s desire to lay himself bare and share the most genuine side of his creative identity.

Two tracks, “Il Rifugio” and “Frontiera”, also reveal Luca Francioso as a vocalist and songwriter, uncovering a more intimate singer-songwriter dimension often overshadowed by his internationally recognized work as a fingerstyle guitarist.

Completing the collection, the previously unreleased “Vita in Beta”, a piece that encapsulates and brings together the meaning of the entire project: a reflection on growth, transformation, and the ongoing evolution of both life and art.

“5.0” also marks a renewed collaboration between Luca Francioso and ImageSonika, following the releases of “Sea”, created with the participation of composer PandolfoPaolo, and the live studio album “Empathy”, recorded at San Giacomo – Spazio d’Arte together with American guitarist Trevor Gordon Hall.
