Giorgia Duranti
Giorgia Duranti is an Italian pianist known for the refinement of her sound, the depth of her interpretation, and the ability to turn every performance into an intense, captivating experience. She graduated in piano from the Conservatorio Pollini in Padua and completed her specialization with honors as Maestro Collaboratore at the Conservatorio dall’Abaco in Verona, combining solid academic training with a vibrant career in concert performance, teaching, and theater.
She has worked with singers, choirs, and instrumentalists in auditions, concerts, theatrical productions, and international events. Her strong connection to opera and theater has shaped her stage presence and broadened her musical vision, making her a versatile and expressive interpreter. In 2017 she composed the music for one of the finalist pieces at the 3rd Lions World Song Festival, and in 2020 she was chosen by Riccardo Muti as Maestro Collaboratore at the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy.
Among her many collaborations with Italian conservatories, one of the most significant is with the Conservatorio Pollini in Padua, where she serves as accompanying pianist. Her deep knowledge of the operatic repertoire gives her an orchestral perspective: wide-ranging, layered, and always engaging. Her journey embraces many genres — from operatic and classical to modern, pop, and sacred music — enriching her versatility and artistry.
What makes Giorgia stand out is her profound interpretative voice: she gives every piece both soul and color, transforming sound into expression and building a vivid dialogue with the audience. Each of her performances becomes a unique and shared emotional experience.
Working with Paolo on LIMBO was a genuine encounter between writing and interpretation. I approached the thirteen preludes as little worlds to explore, trying to bring out both their musical structure and their emotional depth.
In my playing, I focused on the natural flow of the gesture and the clarity of sound, letting the melodic lines emerge with transparency and giving silence its own space — turning apparent simplicity into depth.
